The EQUIP Program served adults ages 25 and older who were formerly incarcerated in the adult criminal justice system and released within two years of the date of enrollment or are currently under supervision, residing in the Atlanta, Fulton County area. The goal of this program is to reduced recidivism. Participants received soft skills in the areas of Microsoft Office, Anger & Stress Management, Financial Literacy, Resume Writing, Google Searching, and more. Participants also received support services in the areas of housing assistance, utility assistance, transportation, and child care services.
Enrollment rate: 100%
Placement Rate: 70% of participants placed in apprenticeship, unsubsidized employment, or Postsecondary Education (PSE)
Occupational skills training rate: 60% of participants enter occupational skills training.
WIOA Credential attainment rate: 60% of participants enrolled in an ed/training program attain a postsecondary credential, a HSD/GED (if also employed or enrolled in an ed/training leading to a credential), or an industry-recognized credential
Recidivism rate: < 20% of participants convicted of a new criminal offense committed within 12 months of release.

120 participants received educational training. 102 went on to complete credentials ranging from CDL, Welding, Office Administration, Hospitality and more.

Participants received soft skills classes in the areas of resume writing, interviewing techniques, anger and stress management classes, Microsoft Office, Internet Usage, Financial Literacy and more
Participants received wraparound services in the areas of housing, transportation, counseling, utility assistance, and daycare.
